Coach Pate is now in his eighth year of coaching after working for six seasons in minor league baseball administration (including the last five seasons working with the Huntsville Stars front office). Coach Pate is a 1993 graduate of FJ Reitz High School in Evansville, Indiana where he was twice a team captain and a four year varsity letterman in wrestling. He was also an All-Conference and Academic All-State second baseman that helped lead his team to three straight sectional titles in baseball. He now teaches 9th and 10th grade Algebra and also serves as the Head Wrestling Coach for the Panthers. Cliff and his wife Angela reside in Huntsville with their two daughters, Lauren (age 8), and Abby (age 5).
